Responding to 999 Calls
We are disatched by the Scottish Ambulance Service to attend 999 emergencies. Based in the community, we are able to reach patients prior to the arrival of the nearest available ambulance resource allowing treatment to commence as quickly as possible. This rapid response can improve the outcome for a critically ill patients such as those in cardiac arrest.
Typical emergencies attended by our responders include:
Allergic Reactions
Cardiac Arrest
Chest Pain
Choking
Diabetic Problems
Difficulty in Breathing
Heart Problems
Seizure
Stroke
Unconscious / Collapse

CPR & AED Awareness Sessions
We deliver FREE CPR & Defibrillator awareness sessions to members of the public and community groups in the following areas:
Burnmouth
Cockburnspath
Coldingham
Dunbar
Eyemouth
Sessions include the following skills:
Dealing with an unconscious casualty who is breathing normally
Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
Dealing with a Choking casualty
